The Beckman Coulter Optima MAX-TL tabletop ultracentrifuge is offered by Service AI as a recertified and tested instrument for small-volume, high-speed separations. The instrument has seen very little use. Service AI's Beckman-trained service experts will perform a final instrument checkout and performance verification before shipment. Our specialists bring technical knowledge of ultracentrifuge systems, rotor compatibility, installation, and service to help your laboratory make an informed purchasing decision.
Instrument pricing and rotor options
Special instrument and rotor package: A special package deal is available for customers purchasing the TLA-120.1 rotor together with the Optima MAX-TL ultracentrifuge. The rotor is priced at $9,995 when purchased on its own; in this package it is priced in at $5,995 — a saving of $4,000. Contact Service AI for package pricing and a quotation tailored to your laboratory's configuration and installation requirements.
A lower-cost alternative: For universities and teaching laboratories with a smaller equipment budget, we also offer the Beckman Coulter Optima MAX-E Tabletop Ultracentrifuge — 100,000 rpm and up to 603,000 x g in the same benchtop format.
Optima MAX-TL instrument pricing: Contact Service AI for a quotation for the ultracentrifuge without a rotor. Rotors are priced separately.

Small-volume ultracentrifugation for research workflows
The Optima MAX-TL provides a compact benchtop platform for sedimentation and fractionation applications. Representative applications include the sedimentation of viral particles and viral vectors, lipoproteins, subcellular particles, plasmid DNA, and extracellular vesicles. Rotor selection, centrifugation conditions, and sample preparation should be matched to the specific separation protocol.
The separately available TLA-120.1 fixed-angle rotor accommodates 14 × 0.5 mL samples (8 × 34 mm thickwall tubes). Its maximum relative centrifugal force is 627,000 × g. The instrument's maximum RCF of 657,000 × g is rotor dependent and should not be confused with the maximum RCF of the TLA-120.1 rotor.
