A dirty or stuck Detector Cap Assembly (part number 594741) can also cause the LS6500 to display an "Elevator Time Out Error."
To fix this issue, you might need to replace either the Diaphragm Assembly or the Detector Cap Assembly.
But before replacing parts, check these things first:
Ensure the racks are positioned correctly.
Verify the Diaphragm Assembly (part number 606646) is opening and closing smoothly.
Confirm the Detector Cap Assembly (part number 594741) and its telescope assembly are moving up and down without any obstructions.
If these initial checks don't resolve the problem, then replacing the necessary part should fix the "Elevator Time Out Error.
